Principle of the Test
IDEIA™ Borrelia burgdorferi IgG is an EIA for the detection of serum IgG antibodies to Borrelia burgdorferi. The test is based on the use of a unique, highly purified native Borrelia burgdorferi flagellum antigen which is strongly immunogenic in humans.
Lyme borreliosis is a multisystemic infection caused by the tickborne spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato. It is the most common vector-transmitted human disease in Europe and North America.
